At Uncle Dave’s Woodshop we ‘rescue’ wood that is no longer wanted and turn it into something useful or artistic (or both!) Wood is sourced from firewood piles, companies going out of business, demolition projects or wherever we can get it. Each piece that comes out of the workshop has been given a new life, whether it’s a platter, a pen or a serving board.
I have learned my craft from some of the most experienced woodturners in New Zealand. Each piece that comes out of the workshop has a part of me as well as them.
